There are four main areas to explore: The six discussion forums are the place to swap opinions, ask for advice and find an abundance of spirited debate. It's often lively, frequently controversial, occasionally bad-tempered, but never less than entertaining. Registering for the forums is free and enables you to take part in the discussion. As a registered user you also get 10Mb of storage space for private messages. That means you can send messages and files to other forum users without ever having to reveal your email address. The chat room is one of the busiest areas of the site. Registration is, again, free, and you can engage in live, real-time conversation with dozens of people who share a passion for stockings. The busiest times tend to be late evening, UK time, but there will normally be a sizeable group on line 24 hours per day. The articles are grouped into four sections: culture, stockings in society, the stockings advice centre, and stockings history. In general they're drawn from contributions to the discussion forums and they're a great place to learn the basics. Finally, the Stockings HQ shop has the biggest selection of stockings anywhere in the world. The shop opened 15 months after the rest of the site in response to a large number of requests from regular visitors. It has grown from one product in August 2001 to over 250 today. The philosophy is still the same: to encourage people to wear stockings by keeping the prices down and the delivery charges low.
