delivery & returns

If you're reading this, it looks like you're considering placing an order. Many thanks! We're running out of biscuits so it would be a big help... Here are a few things you might like to know:

  • All orders are sent in plain packaging. There is no mention of the shop or site on the outside.
  • If you are sending the order to someone as a gift and do not want us to include the invoice, please let us know.
  • We accept: Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro (formerly Switch), American Express, Solo, Delta and JCB cards, as well as PayPal. If you don't have one of those, we can also accept orders by cheque or in person at the warehouse. Details below! We now *also* accept payment by Google Wallet or Amazon Checkout - which is particularly quick and easy if you have an Amazon account.

Payments can be made online in any one of three currencies: GB £ (Sterling), US $ and Euros.  

  • VAT is included in the price for orders sent to the UK and countries in the European Union. VAT is NOT charged on orders sent to the Channel Islands and countries outside the EU. However, if you live outside the EU there is a small chance you may instead be required to pay import duty when the parcel is delivered. That will be collected locally by your postman.

Usually orders are despatched within one working day. Typical delivery times are:

  • UK: next day or the day after
  • Europe: three-four working days
  • US: about five working days
  • Rest of World: about five-seven working days
  • Please note: during exceptionally busy times it can take a day or two longer. If your order is urgent please let us know. Special Delivery parcels are always given priority in the despatch department.
  • Although we attempt to deliver everything as quickly as we can, we're officially obliged to say "please allow 28 days for delivery". It won't take that long though!
  • If you live in a different country and need an order particularly urgently it may be possible to arrange express courier delivery at an extra charge. Please email first though to confirm everything you want is in stock. The address is customercare@stockingshq.com.

Standard postage charges are as follows:

  • UK (first class): £1.95 per order.
  • Europe (airmail): £4.95 per order
  • US and rest of the world (airmail): £5.95 per order
  • There are several express/priority options. For the UK we offer Recorded Delivery and Special Delivery for priority despatch on orders placed before 3pm.
  • Outside the UK we offer an express airmail signed for service that gives a tracking number and should hopefully save a day off the transit time. That's £8.95 for Europe and £9.95 for the rest of the world.
  • Occasionally, for large orders, we will send your parcel by a secure courier service, eg TNT. If you have any specific delivery requirements please let us know.

No fuss returns... we're not happy unless you are!

Buy in confidence: you can return anything you buy for a full refund or exchange at any time within 60 days of delivery. We will happily exchange or refund any hosiery product that is defective, or that you return unopened in its original condition.

All you have to do is return the item with a note of your order number (a copy of the invoice would be ideal) and clear instructions of whether you want a refund or exchange - and if so what for.
