Stockings in the '80s and '90s
The eighties was a classic case of not knowing what you had until it was gone. Fantastic music, outrageous clothes (am I alone in mourning the passing of white stilettos?) and a stockings revival for good measure. Oooh, the nostalgia! Sheer hosiery sales declined across the board during the '90s and to be honest there was a time around 1997 when I thought it was pretty much game over. Thankfully things are changing again now, and the decade did still have some years of note.
