This is a question for the ladies. We know that a lot of the males on this site imbue stockings and suspenders with a kind of magic power; it's much stronger than a mere liking, it's a passion, a fetish, essential or almost essential in their relationships and fantasies.
I would guess that most of the women have a very different feeling about stockings and suspenders. They think they look and feel nice/sexy/elegant, etc., but don't feel the passion of a fetish. I'm just curious whether there are any who feel something magical about them, in the way that men do?
And men, if they wish, can tell us which category they fall into: 1. I like them on women, but I can do without them if needs be; or 2. for me it's a passion, a fetish.

Ooh I love the sight of ladies legs in hosiery, sort of completes the ensemble.
As for myself, it's not quite a fetish, I could take it or leave it most of the time. I do enjoy the comfort though.

For me a passion, but falling short of a fetish - I can certainly 'do without' as it is the lady that counts - what she wears is a bonus.

The lady is the most important person in all of this. The fact that she hates tights, and always wears stockings is just the most wonderful bonus. How unlucky am I  .

I love to take them off a women or even better, watch her take them off. It’s a look that a women is portraying to attract a male or a certain type of male. I have always felt that a man who prefers stocking and garters has a taste for the finer thing in life, and that lady prefers that kind of man.
Just my opinion.

I have to confess they are somewhat of a passion to me. And that the man in my life feels the same is an added bonus. But would wear them anyway as i love the way they make me feel.

Many years ago I had a small business designing and making clothes for women. One day I realized I had no idea how these dresses, blouses, etc., felt when they were worn by one of my customers. So I put on the full regalia--stockings and garterbelt, one of the slinky, wrap dresses I had made (didnt fit well, my shoulders were too broad and my hips too narrow, but I got it on), and strapped a pair of highheels on my feet (had to use rubber bands, since the shoes were too small)--and I tried walking, sitting, all sorts of things. Wow, I remember thinking, this is wild. How can a woman walk around in these things without feeling incredibly sexy? The garterbelt straps tugged at the stockings, which slid on my legs, the dress slithered over my thighs, everything felt silky, the shoes and the way they tilted and elevated me focused my attention on every movement, sitting and crossing my legs was an extraordinary experience.... Well, I didnt become a crossdresser, though I could certainly understand the appeal; the sensations, wonderful though they were, I really wanted to experience vicariously through a woman and her flesh, not mine.
So it seems very strange to me that more women arent responding to this topic. And in fact, I remember asking women after my experiment about how they felt, and none of them made a big deal out of the sensuality of the clothing. Oh, it's nice, some might say. That was about it. So is that true? I can see the effect wearing all this regalia has on my wife, for instance, but is her pleasure just in knowing she looks so good? or does it lie equally in her sensory experience? Is it possible that the women here wander around in their lingerie and forget all about what they are wearing?

I find wearing stockings a lovely experience. I wear them for work most days and find that i actually feel more confident when i do. Probably because i feel i look good and therefore i feel more confident????
Whatever the reason.......the feeling of ff stockings on my legs..the way they pull and move as i sit at my desk does make me feel good. The fact that my husband finds me so attractive in them is an extra bonus. And to be honest, the attention i get from men when i am wearing seams of ff stockings, is a very nice confidence boost!
I never wear seams for work, I keep then for evening wear. But today while at work i laddered my gorgeous shiny aristoc stockings i was wearing. I had a lot of errands to do after work and the ladder was rather obvious. So i got out my spare pair only to find i had put seamed stockings in there. So no choice but to put them on. While i ran my errands about town it was fascinating to see the reaction from men around me in shop windows etc! It was a very nice experience as i have never been out without my husband before wearing seams. When i told him he asked what did i expect as they look so good on me. Isn't he sweet.
Anyway that's little bit.......

DN. You've just expressed SO well why I ( a male ) ejoyed so much my cross-dressing experiences. To me it has been (still is, the FEW times I return to it) a wonderfully exotic experience and one in which I can let my feminine-side enjoy herself.

Hi,
I love to wear mainly holdups, feel more comfortable. I love how my legs feel and look, so it's a bit of passion to wear nylons on my legs.
About boyfried, for him it's fetish, so he can't wihout them

I have very much the same feeling as Crystal (hi hon!). I have usually worn holdups to work, as I'm nervous about my bumps showing. Recently, he has talked me into wearing stockings a few times and have to admit I like the feeling of the straps pulling on the welts (I always have, but now it's on the bus on the way in). I'm keeping an eye out to see if anyone is staring, but so far so good.
Keeping my legs smooth, putting on my stockings (his favourite hobby..), slipping on my shoes...all feels so much more femine and builds my confidence (compared to wrestling with tights that sag halfway to your knees). Mrs C

Stockings are just nice to wear. I sometimes wear tights and sometimes (like now!) go without. Its not a fetish, just a matter of comfort and skirt length. If its smart, its always stockings though, and Cervin FFs are my fave.

We're borderline fetishists I think! I love them because just knowing I have them on makes for a better day! I love them 'cause I know he loves them on me and that is all good for me! He definitely appreciated the ease with which he brought me over to his way of thinking.
