In my opinion, Mike, Dell & HP both suck big time (for various reason's), I wouldn't ever own or use either of those two computer barnds... unless I absolutely had to! Some family members have unfortunately had both Dell & HP brands... and again, they definitely both suck big time.
If those are the only three that you have to choose from... then if it were me, the Lenovo (used to be IBM), is the only one I'd consider.
With my business, we've used custom-built Sager notebooks [ http://www.sagernotebook.com/category_browse.php?cid=&pl atform=Intel], and custom-built Gateway/MPC notebooks [ http://pro.mpccorp.com/commercial/store/notebooks/overview_t ransport.html] for many years, (since the mid-nineties), and have always been SUPER satisfied with their performance, quality, and very low (if any) tech issues.
Mike —— Keep in mind that alot of reseller's — still sell older generation CPU's — such as CoreTDuo's (NOT CoreT2 Duo) and even CoreTSolo's and PentiumŪ M's. If you can go for a notebook, with your selection, (and if you can have it customized before it's shipped to you), and are looking for the latest and greatest in an Intel Processor... then don't even look at anything less than: [T8000 series] or [T9000 series] CoreT2 Duo Mobile processor's.
Intel platforms, are still better platforms than AMD platforms, performance wise, plus they run cooler too, (which means they should last longer).
