Hello all!
Question, my girlfriend enjoys wearing stockings but has an issue, shes vertically challenged! Shes 5'2" and has problems with her stockings "falling down" even with the straps cinched all the way up. Any ideas or brands that make a suspender/garter belt for the shorter gal?

Look in the SHQ shop for Cervin, Falke & Gerbe. Their small sizes go from 4ft 9inch up. Perhaps if she goes for something with detachable straps, they could be shortened? Stocking wearers unite!

I'm also a shorty at five feet two inches. What I do is modify my six strap garter/suspender belts or I make my own on my Husqvarna. I modify by removing all six straps from the belt and shortening them to fit my 9 1/2 Long stockings. Lets say I think of the belt as a circle. I modify the strap length then re-sew at 90-180 and 270 degree positions. The 90 is the front, 180 is the side and 270 is the back. I always modify the 270 position to keep my stockings void of side pull especially in seams. I have no idea why garter belts or most garter belts are not made to give a perfect seam set on the back garter. When and if you modify your garter belt make sure you have a pair of stockings in the size / length you most frequently wear to help you with the strap length. You will want a slight pull with enough elastic left over to cinch up the welt fairly snug. A helper such as a husband or boyfriend works well here because you could use an extra set of hands. A stitch ripper, scissors, cloth tape measure, pins and needle and thread is what you will need. With me being five feet two inches I wear my 9 1/2 long stockings very high on my thighs with excellent fit. I wear dresses or skirts a couple inches above the knee and I never have a problem with my stocking tops showing. I hope this may help you.
